At Wiz Kidz, we are dedicated to upholding the curriculum guidelines established by the Ontario Ministry of Education. For high school English students, we accomplish this by reinforcing the approved writing process. This proven 5-point system incorporates: the prewriting stage, drafting stage, revising stage, editing stage, and publishing stage. It is crucial that students become familiar with these fundamental steps and adopt them as second nature when writing. This will enable them to compose fluently written and properly structured compositions, reports, essays, etc. All of our tutors are knowledgeable in the works of Shakespeare and are familiar with specific novels used in the classroom setting. Word knowledge, vocabulary, and comprehension of content are key elements in university/college preparation, and a strong emphasis is placed on these core skills. Students will learn to organize their thoughts, retain information, and highlight key points. These useful techniques will assist them in the learning process and help equip them for post-secondary education. At Wizkidz, our tutoring specialists work closely with students to encourage confident writing and developmental growth.
